One of the most visited cities in the southern hemisphere, Rio de Janeiro in Brazil - commonly referred to as just Rio - is located on a strip of Brazil’s Atlantic coast. During the 1930s the city gained a reputation as a fantastic beach and party destination, a reputation that is still strong today. Rio is a beautiful city famous for breathtaking landscapes that include gorgeous mountains, white sand beaches and stunning rainforests – and of course the famous Christ the Redeemer statue. A laid-back beach culture coexists with a busy metropolis making Rio an ever popular tourist destination on any South American Vacation.

Day 1 On arrival at Rio de Janeiro’s International Airport your group will be met by our local representative and transferred to your hotel for check in for 6 nights. Check in time: 3pm. Early Check in is not included. Arrival transfer is a group transfer for all guests arriving on the same flight number and at the same time. Any travelers arriving on a different flight number at a different time must pay extra for a private transfer. Arrival Transfers cannot be combined for guests arriving on different flight numbers even if the arrival times are the same. For Guests arranging their own International flights, complete flight information must be provided to SMWONE ONE in the specified format at least 60 days prior to the outbound departure to be included in the group arrival & departure transfers.
Day 4 - Day of Leisure
Day 5 After breakfast, take a Half Day Brazilian Carnival Experience. Enjoy a guided backstage tour of the Academics da Grande Rio – one of the leading samba schools of the city,
where you will learn about the history of samba and the carnival parades. You will enter the samba atmosphere, where costumes are available for dress up and photographs, while enjoying a traditional welcome drink, the Caipirinha. Embark on an exciting backstage tour of Cidade do Samba, the impressive complex of workshops for Rio's world-
famous Carnival. See where all the magic is created and get insight into the detailed processes that culminate in the planet's most vibrant street party. Be fascinated by the display of creativity that features a wide array of colorful, shiny, and extravagant costumes used in the parades. Return to the hotel after the tour and the remainder of the day is at leisure.
Full Daily Itinerary
Day 2 Today, after breakfast, you will visit Corcovado & Sugarloaf. Board a cog train from Cosme Velho Station for a ride to Corcovado Mountain to visit one of the world’s most famous landmarks, the gigantic statue of Christ the Redeemer. Experience the 20 minutes steep train journey up the mountain. You will disembark at the top of Corcovado and then proceed up the steps that lead to the top lookout where the towering statue of Christ the Redeemer stands, one of the New 7 Wonders of the World. Get up-close to Christ the Redeemer and spend some time viewing the panoramic view of this beautiful city of Rio from the
incredible mountain- top vantage point. Then, you will descend by the train. The tour continues passing by Rio's world- famous beaches. Enjoy Lunch at Carretão Restaurant (beverages not included). After lunch you will be taken to the neighborhood of Urca where one of the largest symbols of the city is located: Sugar Loaf. You will travel all the way to the top in two steps by cable car. The first cable car takes us to Urca Hill, a vantage point 215 meters high for which already grants beautiful views of Guanabara Bay and its islands, the Rio-Niterói Bridge, and Corcovado Mountain. From this stage, a second cable car takes us up to the top. At 395 meters, we will enjoy splendid views of Copacabana beach, the Santa Cruz fortress, and several beaches of Niterói. After riding the Cable car back down, return to the hotel. Return to the hotel after the tour and the remainder of the day is at leisure.
Day 3 After breakfast, board a schooner at Marina da Glória - Rio's downtown Marina. The boat will sail along the bay beaches of Botafogo, Flamengo, passing in front of the Sugar Loaf and Santa Cruz Fortress that guards the
entrance of the Rio de Janeiro Bay. Crossing the entrance, sailing in front of the city of Niterói and close to the 13-km long bridge that connect Rio to Niteroi. Enjoy a traditional caipirinha (optional – at extra cost) while you have a breathtaking view from Rio de Janeiro
landscape from a different perspective.
Return back to the harbor after the 2-hour cruise and continue the tour. Get a panoramic tour of downtown Rio with a nice walking tour on Waterfront Zone recently revitalized as part
of the projects for the 2016 Olympic Games. Stop at Praça Maua Square with its attractions as the panel "ethnic", the world's graphite panel made by artist Kobra the work shows five faces representing tribes from every continent. The number of faces also refers to the number of Olympic rings and panoramic view of museum do Amanhã (Museum of Tomorrow) and MAR (Art Museum of Rio de Janeiro).
Continue the panoramic tour to the Sambodrome, where Rio Carnival ́s Parade takes place every year. The Sambadrome was designed by the Brazilian Architect, Oscar Niemeyer. Stop at the Metropolitan Cathedral which was built in a pyramidal form with an internal diameter of 96 meters and a height of 80 meters. After returning to the hotel the remainder of the day is at leisure.
Day 6 After breakfast, the day is at leisure.
This evening, the group will enjoy a typical Brazilian Churrascaria Dinner at Assador Restaurant. Enjoy a traditional churrascaria in Rio de Janeiro. Be seated at your table and get ready for the impressive parade
of all-you-can-eat meat borne on sizzling skewers by skilled waiters. This traditional Brazilian style of service keeps the food coming until you say stop. Sample all types and cuts of meat and side dishes that include salads, collard greens, fried potatoes and black beans and rice. Roundtrip hotel transfers are included.
Day 7 After breakfast, check out and transfer to the airport for your departing flight.
Check out time: 11am. Late check out is not included Departure transfer is a group transfer for all guests departing on the same flight and at the same time. Any travelers departing at a different time must pay extra for a private transfer. Departure Transfers may be combined
for guests departing on different flight numbers at approximately the same departure times. The group transfer will be provided for the earliest departing flight.
